Great leaders need to be good follower, but it’s also important to be able to teach great followers to be good leaders.
Why?
You will need them in your tribe.
When you are growing your tribe the quicker you can identify your movers and shakers the better… however, sometimes it’s important to teach people how to lead. This is one way to get people to share your information and posts.
Here goes.
Vision! Your leaders will have vision. One way to find this is by asking a question. Create a post and set up an A/B vote or a What do you like better… A or B… The leaders will jump in with an additional comment.
Change! When you “mix it up” a bit, your leaders will jump in and give you support. This is similar to vision with the A/B test…but you actually say, “Big news coming soon” and then when the big news comes, ask a “what do you think?” open ended question… your leaders will jump in. Just be careful to align yourself with those that hold your vision… you may lose someone with a change question, but that’s OK, you want people on your journey that “fit” with your goals and objectives.
Communication! Oh goodness… your leaders will chat it up. The natural leaders in your tribe will jump in on the conversation, and in the above Vision & Change comments will share their opinion. Again, you are identifying the leaders that are positive. The critics of the group need to be left behind. They’re not worth your time.
After all, you’re time is too short to pull along the negative people!
Take this information to your posting time today…. create a post that will help you identify who your leaders are in the tribe. Start with a question post! This is actually easier than you think.
It might be a little out of your comfort zone, but like our quote says, “you have no idea what you’re capable of until you try”
