Oh Gosh, one of my favorite sayings when I coach baton twirling is “smile with your eyes” – when you get a performer to understand what “smiling with your eyes” means you create magic.
It’s the joy and fun that radiates from your soul to the audience.
But what happens when your business closes and the spirit is gone?
You reach out and love your tribe.
This idea is lovely. When the dancers are missing it’s hard for the owners but it’s hard for the soul of the business.
This is more than the money that keeps the lights on… this is the fire in their soul that keeps the owners creative.
When you take that away you are taking away the passion. But they’re fighting back with their sign. They want their tribe to know they are in the thoughts of the owners and teachers. Now… not everyone will drive by to see it. Remember the students are at home.
But when you post online you show the compassion and respect of the situation while also relaying the important message to the students.
This is a tribe builder.
It’s a small way to increase your sales without trying because all engagement is another proof of the strengthing of their bond.
I just loved this idea and had to share it with you. You might not have a great big window on main street but you do have email, a white board in your office, or even a social media post.
It’s been a while – but let them know. My email today to our customers was about the pretty flowers we planted. It’s not that they want to see the flowers, it’s that they see we are getting ready for their return.
