I love this idea. It’s the ability to set the stage and create a fun memory.
This photo is actually from a restaurant – but there’s a long narrow hallway on the approach to the main dining and host stand.
It’s the perfect opportunity to set the stage. As a reminder “set the stage” is the time to draw your customers into your experience.
One of the best examples of this is an amusement park ride at Disney World. The waiting lines wind around and around but at the same time they use lighting and sound to help you get into the spirit of the ride.
This hallway set a quirky vibe by having oversized scrabble pieces on the wall… it’s the opportunity for customers to spell words, take photos, in essence… be quirky, too!
How can you help “set the stage” for your customers? Can you theme signage, use words on your website that draw or direct your customer to the right experience…
