Tuesday: YOUR BUSINESS

QUOTE: “If you set goals and go after them with all the determination you can muster, your gifts will take you places that will amaze you.”
—Les Brown

It’s time to get SMART – yep.  Goal setting at it’s finest.

If you can take a few moments and discover the goals you want to achieve success will be heading your way.  Now did you notice I switched from goals setting to goal achievement?

HA!

Snuck that one in on you…

But it’s important distinction.  If I said, my goal is to walk 800 miles this year.  That’s great – I’m successful in goal setting.

But does that matter?

NOPE.

And dang it 800 seems like a whole lot!  However, if I go one step further and figure out that 800 miles in 12 months is 67 miles a month… or roughly 2.3 miles a day… that’s pretty darn attainable.

Your goal achievement plan is vital to your success. Setting the goal can be easy – but without the follow up plan, it’s nearly impossible to attain.

I’d love it if you’d set both personal and professional goals. Again, as a small business owner, you are integral to the success of your business, your personal achievement impacts your business.  That means personal goals are just as important as professional goals.

So set both!

Here’s a little help on the website to move you in the right direction – it’s SMART goal setting.

Strategic, Measures, Attainable, Reward, and Time Bound – five simple principles to get you motivated.  Now if you need a little more encouragement.

I wrote a guide!  I know… how cool is that?
